This artwork was made for Social Offline as part of the calendar for the month of August.
Combinations of circumstances in our history have led to drawing of the lines on the maps that part our lands today; identifying one from another. There must be plenty of things that set us apart and make us ‘loyal’ to our ‘nationality’. But we must remember that as humans, a species, we have more similarities than we do differences. This artwork talks about rising above boundaries of land and mind; about the collective feeling of freedom and about co-creating so that we grow together to a brighter and more inclusive future.
In tribute to this, and in light of the recent protests, we say to our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh - we see you, and we stand with you for a better tomorrow.
